ODP Webinar: Supporting Community Inclusion: The Role of the Provider, Caregivers, and Other Professionals

Based on the National Core Indicators, ODP wants to continue to improve the satisfaction scores, specifically with community inclusion. Through data analysis and communicating with self-advocates, this training will provide ways that providers of ODP waiver services can help individuals explore meaningful ways to participate in their community.
The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) invites Providers of Waiver Services, including DSPs, caregivers, and other professionals who help support individuals receivingwaiver services, to join and participate in a webinar on Supporting Community Inclusion: The Role of the Provider.  In response to National Core Indicator (NCI) data, ODP wants to partner with Providers in improving individuals’ satisfaction with their level of community participation and inclusion. This training will provide ways that the Provider, caregivers, and other professionals can help individuals explore meaningful ways to navigate and participate in their community.
The session will be held with Teams.

Updates to claim and service documentation requirements were published in bulletin 00-26-04.  This training will cover the requirements in this bulletin, including new requirements that will be effective starting January 1, 2027, for the following:
Traditional providers, Agency with Choice Financial Management Service (FMS) Organizations, providers of vendor services, and Organized Health Care Delivery Systems funded through base-funding or the Consolidated, Community Living, Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS) and Adult Autism Waivers (AAW).
Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs) funded through the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW).
This training will be recorded and posted on MyODP for future reference.
The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) will be scheduling training specific to the Vendor Fiscal/Employer Agent model separately.
Who should attend?
Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs) funded through the Intellectual Disabilities/Autism (ID/A) Waivers and Targeted Support Management (TSM) have been occurring separately as part of implementation of Performance-Based Contracting (PBC).

This five-part training reviews the development of a Skill Building Plan with an example and digs deeper into the process. Skill Building Plans are an essential tool in community services because they are designed to provide a clear, individualized roadmap for helping people gain new abilities and become more independent. Skill Building Plans are designed to communicate and address the specific needs and goals of the person and ensure that the support provided is tailored to what matters most to the person, when they need that support, and in the way that best supports their learning and independence.

Updated SPeCTRUM Course Coming Soon

ODP and the Bureau of Supports for Autism and Special Populations (BSASP) in collaboration with the Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training (ASERT) is pleased to announce the upcoming release of a new SPeCTRUM training course. This updated course will replace the existing SPeCTRUM 2.0 currently available on MyODP. The revised SPeCTRUM training will include enhanced webinar capabilities, updated content, and a variety of interactive learning features designed to support an improved and more engaging learning experience for participants.
For applicable providers of the Consolidated waiver, in the interim of this new course becoming available, the recording of the Autism Spectrum Disorders: An Overview and Practical Application is now available as an alternative to SPeCTRUM 2.0 for the purposes of satisfying the basic autism training requirement for Residential Performance Based Contracting measures CN-DD/Bx.01.1S and CN-DD/Bx.01.1CE for all Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Frontline Supervisors (FLSs), and program managers. This training also fulfills §6100.143 ongoing training requirements. Users will be required to view 4 hours worth of training content and pass a 10 question quiz before the course displays on the MyTranscript. 
Staff providing services under the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW) and Adult Community Autism Program (ACAP) are required to take SPeCTRUM 2.0 or the upcoming updated SPeCTRUM course, once it becomes available. Additional communication is forthcoming.
MyODP users who are currently working toward completion of the SPeCTRUM 2.0 course must complete all required modules by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The course will be retired effective April 1, 2026, and will no longer be accessible on MyODP. Any incomplete progress toward module completion that has not been finalized by the deadline will not be retained.
